Recruitment Policy

The recruitment and selection process is of prime importance as the means of obtaining the best possible person-to-job fit. This contributes significantly towards the efficient and effective running of TGS Security Specialists and the provision of services to our customers. It is also increasingly important, as TGS evolves and changes, that new recruits demonstrate a willingness and ability to learn, adapt and to work as part of a team. The recruitment and selection procedure should help managers to ensure that these criteria are addressed. All recruitment will be carried out with regard to fairness, equality and consistency for all candidates at all times. Recruitment practices will be inclusive and we will endeavour to ensure there are no barriers to employment of suitable candidates.

Minimum Requirements

Due to the nature of the security industry it is essential that all members of staff including management are able to perform the role of a Security Officer. There may be times when customers require security services at short notice therefore TGS Security Specialists require all employees to be flexible during their employment. Therefore it is essential that all employees:
  • Possess a valid SIA License;
  • Hold a Full UK Driving License including access to a vehicle; 
  • Have a legal right to live and work in the UK;
  • Aged 25+ to drive Company vehicles;
  • Fluent in English Language – all staff must possess excellent communication both oral and written;
  • Are physically fit or be able to achieve TGS' minimum fitness levels within 8 weeks;
  • Comply with BS7858 Security Screening including 5 year employment history.
