SIA Security Training

It is a requirement by the law, under the Private Security Industry Act (2001), that all individuals wanting to work in the Private Security Industry must hold a recognised qualification in order to apply for their licence. TGS Security Specialists offers various SIA Licence-linked qualifications for both students and Instructors. All qualifications are regulated and accredited by SIA endorsed awarding bodies. 

Level 2 Security Guarding

This 3 day course is designed for those learners wishing to apply for an SIA Licence (SIA) to work as a Security Officer in commercial buildings, retail, construction, shopping centres and to act as a key holder. It is based on the relevant SIA Specification for Learning and Qualifications and is supported by Skills for Security, the Standards Setting Body for the security industry and the SIA, who regulate the private security industry. Those that want to work in a licensed venue may wish to complete the Level 2 Door Supervisor qualification.

Level 2 Door Supervision including Upskilling

This 4 day course is designed for those learners wishing to apply for an SIA Licence (SIA) to work as a Door Supervisor in licensed venues. It is based on the relevant SIA Specification for Learning and Qualifications and is supported by Skills for Security, the Standards Setting Body for the security industry and the SIA, who regulate the private security industry. Those that want to work as a Security Officer will benefit from this qualification as it will enable you to work in both sectors. Door Supervisors will be required to re-attend the practical elements of the course to refresh their physical intervention skills. This is known as Upskilling and is a 2 day course.

Level 2 CCTV (PSS) Operator

This 4 day course is designed for those learners wishing to apply for an SIA Licence to work as a CCTV operator in public space surveillance. It is based on the relevant SIA Specification for Learning and Qualifications and is supported by Skills for Security, the Standards Setting Body for the security industry and the SIA, who regulate the private security industry. Those that have already completed an SIA Security Qualifications in the last three years may be exempt from Module 1.
